raya yang disoriented

Well, not much to say, but 2010 marks the first for disoriented 1st Syawal ever.

needless to say more....

Thank you for those who makes it disoriented this year, 'Harap harap thn depan buat lah lagi ye...'

And just when i thought that,  not only me, but Syawal is bulan memaafkan sesama insan, ada la pulak pihak yang sengaja membuat cerita bukan bukan.. Serkap jarang... Acusing...  Judging me out on the surface....Good lah, show good example by judging and then spread the story....Ingatkan Artis je yang kena benda benda mcm ni,...............

Tak pe, you think you can say anything about everyone.....what about all the things you told me about so and so... Nasib je i tak pi bgtau so and so right on the face  and SORRY !!! i'm not gonna mention here who on earth did that coz it hurt especially coming from the person... urghhhh......

Tak pe, You can run now, you can hide.. you can put all the many faces you have now and flaunt everyone mcm you tu tak bersalah, mcm you tu baik sangat....

Tapi ALLAH knows best...and satu hari nanti, ALLAH akan balas all the things that you did...

Rata-rata kawan kawan blogging smua tgh excited nak balik kampung. Selamat Balik Kampung smua..Have a safe journey and drive carefully. Husna pulak mcm mana?

Ohhh Husna is Kampungless sejak 5 thn lalu. Husna juga Atukless and Nenekless sejak forever and sejak 23 thn respectively. Dengan Husna yang Kampungless maka tiada lansung lah pemandangan begini...

Eversince I was young, all i remembered was my Mak Tua's house located right in the small town of a district in Penang. It's a cornerhouse one storey bungalow with ample space on the side and also backyards. There are Rambutans,Durians, Manggoes and Coconut Tree on the lawn. One of the uncle sometimes put  hammock for us to play arround with. During that time, kita main Puteri Gunung Ledang lah.. Make believe stuff other than watching tons and tons of Arwah Mamu Zainol's P.Ramlee video COllections. Also, other than pergi kacau Nanab and Mimin masak kat Dapur. Mak Tua will be sitting on her Kerusi watching over us before she fall sick. Paling best kalau Mak Tua nak makan aiskrim, Kami smua pun dapat makan juga dan paling best sebab dapat ikut Nanab pi kedai hehehe bayangkan nanab seorang dgn kami yang berumur antara 5 hing 8 thn ni segerombolan mengikut nanab berjalan ke kedai hehehehe

Those were the days where balik kampung is not just a yearly Raya affair but during the school holidays too. The journey to balik Penang is the most awaited. Singgah makan nasi goreng sedap kat Rest House in Tapah, The winding journey. Dulu bukan ada lebuh raya PLUS and ini bukan lah situasi yang biasa...hehehehe...

Bertolak awal pagi, dah nak malam baru sampai. Seronok tgk rumah tepi jalan, sawah padi lah, Lori lori besar bawak ayam lah, gunung ganang. Lembu, Kambing orang and Mak and Ba will start telling stories of geography and also  economic, orang ni kerja apa.. apa kita nampak tadi and sawah padi tu dah stage mana and all.. Interesting huh !!! Ye lah, Dulu mana ada National Geographic Channel kan..  hehehe... Ensyiklopedia and cerita dalam perjalanan mcm ni lah cara nak educate anak...

And bila dah sampai, the best part is, all the cousins pakat tido rumah Mak Tua walaupun rumah depa dekat tu ja hehehehe seronok sebab sesekali smua berkumpul dan main bunga Api yang tak tau mcm mana boleh jadi Baaanyaakk Gilerrr... Bermacam macam jenis pulak.

And, thn ni dah 2010 dah,... Cousins smua pun dah besaq panjang, yang dah kawen, yang tak kawen hehehe.. Balik kampung is no longger the activity in my Family lepas Mak Tua meninggal. Aunts in penang, beraya di Penang dgn keluarga belah suami dan anak anak. Yang di perantauan, kebetulan pulak kesemua yang lain duduk di shah alam, Maka Shah Alam lah kampung baru kami. hehehe not having Mak Tua around was not the only reason of tak balik kampung. My Father used to move around his work stations located all around malaysia including singapore. So, after Mak tua left, we only spend our raya at the states we're living in, including Singapore and go back to Penang once a year to visit our Tok Ba's and Mak Tua's grave

Anyways, This year, our raya is just a simple raya. Nothing much hehehe... BUt looking forward to meet my kakak, cousins, nieces and nephews, cucu and all

Kuih Raya

The girls got excited when En Talib says that Kak Azie dah buat kuih Raya. (We ment Encik Talib during Terawikh.) Bermacam-macam jenis pulak. So, during the Iftar/meeting for Raya, we asked Kak Azie if she needs help. Kak Azie kata Ok… So the on Monday, after Asar, we went to En.Talib and Kak Azie’s house to tolong prepare for kuah lodeh and Buat Kuih Raya…. ( I did bought the bahan bahan untuk buat kuih raya but its pretty hectic so terpaksa lah adjourned ke waktu lain…)

We had loads of fun that nite making London Almond, playing with Anis and potong bawang and kupas udang kering for kuah lodeh. The best part was when we terima :

SALAM AIDILFITRI

Aidilfitri is just around the corner. I called home a few days ago. Mak is still so tired. She just got back from Terawikh and reheating her milk.( I used to do that for Mak every single night. The cawan bunga merah must be half full and 1 minute 30 second in the microwave. Kalau terbanyak, guess who kena habiskan he..he… And Puteh, yang suka susu inspite of dia kucing and tak leh minum susu lembu, akan trail around nak mintak sikit he..he…)

I asked Mak about her Raya preparation. She said, nothing special this year. She is just waiting for her only two cucu to balik raya. He..he… She said, everything else is normal. Mak kata, Aunty Wan pun baru je kembali ke rahmatullah, jadi tak semeriah dulu. Usually, Aunty Wan will come and have raya with us. She will come 2 days in advance and we will spend most of the time in the kitchen. Bukan masak banyak pun, Ayam masak merah, daging hitam, Aunty wan’s bengkang hijau the rest just chit-chatting je dlm dapur tu he..he…

Our family dah lama tak balik kampung. Because the place we called kampong is now a town. Those were the days when my grandma, Mak Tua is still around, we always look forward to balik Penang, infact masa dulu, cuti sekolah je mesti balik rumah Mak Tua. Seronokkk!!!! My Mak Tua is a soft spoken lady, She never raises her voice to us. She calls me ‘Kechik’ being the youngest at that time, and then when my cousin, Aida was born, she is Kecik number 2. Mak Tua passed away when I was in standard 2. My grand dad, Tok Ba, passed away long even before my mother was married. He was 72 when he passed away. But from the photographs, he is a very tall, dark ( Indian blood) and so skiny with his songkok and sweet smiley face.

The bunch of cousins I have back them, they of course dah bertambah now. This was taken at Mak Tua’s place. Look at that girl who was being called as “Kechik” in baju biru with curly hair next to Kak ita holding Kusyairi. He..he..he… ( wink….wink…wink….) .

Those were the days when you suka duduk kat dapur tgk Nanab and Mimin buat kuih raya, krim puff, masak anything lah.. even when they kukur kelapa pun I tgk gak. Then we will round up belakang rumah Mak Tua main ‘Puteri Gunung Ledang”, main bawah pokok durian sampai petang, then walk to the nearby like bazaar ramadhan, ( it is not actually a bazzar ramadhan, because it is there the whole year he..he…) Kalau ikut Nanab pi kedai mamak, nanti dapat ice cream magnolia yang ada gajah tu.( it was my favourite back then) and Appollo wafer tu.

Well, things changes now. Rumah Mak Tua pun dah tak da lagi dah kat Glugor tu. Its so sad when each time we passed by the area, teringat childhood memories. Sejak 15 years ago, me and family dah tak balik penang for raya anymore, and since 1996, kami berkampung kat shah alam je.aunts and Uncles pun kebanyakkan duduk shah Alam and its just around the corner je. So, lepas solat aidilfitri, we usually, jumpa mamat kat 7 eleven dulu, beli paper than balik rumah, breakfast with ketupat palas, nasi impit, and ll those raya stuff, then, My Dad akan bagi sign, dia dah ready with duit raya in his pocket so, its time to salam raya now. He..he.. and by then mak pun mula la,… nanti nanti, nak salin baju pakai tudung for family photo .he..he… Lepas salam raya, bermaafan, dapat duit raya…smua orang dapat duit raya. Mak pun dapat duit raya gak he..he… Later about to lunch time, gerak gi rumah Bapak Latip, Mak’s eldest brother, and kat sana, joined by another 3 aunties and their families, with cousins punya anak anak and all. Lepas tu bermula lah rombongan. Mcm rombongan meminang. Lepas rumah Bapak Latip, SERANGGG rumah Aunty Mas, then Our place and CIca Hassan’s place will usually be ‘serang’ed during dinner where they usually masak Sup tulang …. Oooohhh I am so gonna miss the soup this year. Well that’s practically all in a day of raya. And the next day, its either cousins or friends will come visit or we go to cousins’s place or whichever.

Okay this year, it will be a whole new experience for me, Looking forward for it. I have never spend Raya away from my family but we’ll see how things goes la. Lagi best, on the 2^nd and 3^rd of October, I have to attend Seminar he..he..he…

Anyway,
