Mak and Ikan patin masak lemak cili api....

I called Mak yesterday night. Got her at the wrong time coz Kak Asmah kata Mak tengah Solat Isyak. Tak lama lepas tu, "oooop... udah selesai solatnya..." Kelakar gila Kak Asmah ni, dia plak yang panik. Boleh dengar dia kata " Cepat... ini Husna menelepon ni..." Maklumlah, bukan selalu Husna call rumah, tapi selalu call Handphone Mak je terus he..he..

Tak sampai beberapa saat, Mak is on the phone already. Mak sounded so happy but there's something deep within I myself can't explain.

So we chated and laugh, Mak tanya how's things and all. Everything is fine here, Mak, except for my Mental Block he..he... Anak mak ni, selalu sangat Mental Block lar.. dunno why....

I told Mak about the Dead Sea water I was having on the dressing table in my room. Mak was relief because she's been meaning to ask but she lupa , she was thinking "What on earth la yang anak aku simpan ni? Dah la dalam botol Mayonaise ladie's choice pulak..." he..he..he.. Ala Mak ni, tu kan Nanab yang bagi before I came to adelaide. She hasn't got any small bottle left masa tu selain botol mayo tu and since kita pun nak cepat bertolak balik shah alam that time, he..he.. kelakar.

Nanab is Mak's elder sister selepas Arwah Aunty Wan.Nanab and her husband Pak Dollah, suka pergi Umrah and then take tour to Middle East and ntah mana mana lagi every year la sejak they got married. ( Nanab and Pak Dollah used to be neighbours. Pak Dollah duk rumah sebelah my Grandma's place where Nanab stays.. Later, a few years after wife Pak Dollah meninggal, Pak Dollah pun masuk meminang Nanab yang also, dah lama membujang sejak my Mamu Othman meninggal when I was in primary school. Maka bertambah besar lah family Pak Aji Ariff yang sememangnya sudah besar tu... Kami dapat ramai instant cousins since Pak Dollah pun ada a big family. Diam tak diam, dah nearly 10 years they got married and Pak Dollah pun dah nak masuk 80 thn dah next year, how time flies....anyway, inilah yang di namakan jodoh,Hanya Allah yang tahu he...he...)

Mak pun start sembang and cerita la sikit sebanyak.Mak ceria, she met mak Haikal and kata Haikal was waiting for us to call masa kat adelaide but we didn't contacted him. We did sms Haikal at that time, but mungkin salah nombor kot. Mak and Mak Haikal are friends. I haven't met Haikal before and i have no idea how he looks like . I asked mak Haikal buat course apa coz I forgot, Mak kata engineering kot. Tak pe, nanti I go look for him... Then, mak tanya about anak cikgu Adam. Yes, I met him during raya at kak Salina's place. Good la..

Then not so fun bits came along. Mak start telling me mana dia simpan all the barang and the kain to use for tutup jenazah, the small pillow she had prepared for her and my dad if they meninggal dunia nanti and all other stuff. MAKKKKK !!!!! jangan la ckp mcm ni... Aduh... sedih la plak... Mak says, she told kak asmah the same thing incase anything happen and incase I am not arround so she had everything planned and tak nak nanti kelam kabut. Mak also kata, bukan tak normal bila kita memikirkan soal kematian. Memang dah sepatutnya dia bagitau pun. Berderau darah bila Mak ckp macam tu. Yeah I know it is not wrong and memang sepatutnya kit amemikirkan soal kematian tapi......
Goshhh....... I feel like nak terbang balik that time jugak to go and hug my Mak and Ba. Tapi bukan ada 'pintu' Doraemon atau Harry Potter's magic wand pun...haisssshhhh.....
Hati dah mula tak best ni....
Ya Allah....selamatkanlah dan panjangkan lah umur kedua ibu dan bapaku, lindungi lah mereka dari segala malapetaka .... Amin... ( air mata dah meleleh, tapi still kontrol macho ckp Mak... konon2 hay fever la sebab hidung dah stuffy... he..he... :-p )

Then I guess Mak can sense that I am upset with that topic and she said "Tak pa aih, Mak dah tulih dalam buku dah," so, later senang for me or my sister to cari anything.
Then Mak pun tukar topic. Mak kata Aunty Shama masak ikan patin masak lemak cili api and she's excited to send some over petang tadi. Mak kata jangan bagi banyak coz farhan sorang je yang makan ikan patin kat rumah tu, so Aunty Shama hantar la dua keping....
BESTNYEEEEEE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aiyoh.... bestnye ikan patin masak lemak cili api, fuhhhh.....
Kat sini I only have lemak cili api BRAHIM he...he... Kak Long dah ajar dulu mcm na nak buat ayam masak lemak cili api , tapi, cili api susah la plak nak dapat kat sini. hari tu beli masa nak buat nasi goreng Mat lanun pun not pedas at all. Kalau dah teringin sangat nanti, kena beli cili api dalam botol tu je la he..he...
Aunty Shama, like this kalau, when I balik, you hav to masak again and call me to eat lar....he..he....
Ikan Kap yang Abang Nazri bagi tu ada....hmmm.... Nadia orang nogori sombilan... hmmmm.....

And so, the conversation with Mak yesterday leaves me with all kind of 'stuff' to think about....Yeah, it's about time, I know....
Ya Allah, rahmatilah kedua ibu bapaku, adik beradik ku yang jauh di mata dan semua rakan2ku di sekeliling ku....

"Oh MAK KAU, TOKOJUIT DEN !!!!"

While I was in Marion in the afternoon, i SMSed Nadia asking her about the ice cream yang sedap tu. She replied and in her SMS, she asked me if I wanna join her to go to the library that night. I replied yes since I have to still do my proposal and all. Ni dah datang Marion main main, so malam kena la buat kerja kan.

I didn't have anything to buy in Marion. Food stuff smua cukup, just datang for window shopping je.Nak makan , puasa pulak. ( so, it will be my another trip in order to eat at Curry Zone for Ba he..he.. Mak Tam ! curry zone jom!!) So, I window-shopped from this end till that end. Being a good girl, I didn't buy anything at all. ( see, Nadia, i can go to Marion and don't buy anything at all he..he...)

Then I thought, what if I go check out whats at the movies. So, out of the long movies list, considering the $ and what's worth, I decided to go to GOTHAM CITY to visit Batman and friends. Yeah, I know, I lambat....he..he...SAngat lambat, but it was good one. Towards the end, bila Harvey dah jadi Harvey two face, I gelak sorang sorang teringat kat Amirul. Bukan Amirul/SUPIRMAN, but my friend and neighbour, Amirul Mamak back when I was schooling in Penang. He used to call me Two face. Zaman tu, Batman was played by Val Khilmer and Harvey Two Face was played by Tommy Lee Jones. he..he..he...

Lepas Movies, I head back to balik rumah ler... Nak masak ni, nak bukak puasa. Was thinking of having spaghetti goreng.... However, when I balik, to blend my dried chillies, Blender Mak Tam rosak... =( .Kelmarin Zati bawak ok lagi, ni dah lansung tak nak on. Mak Tam...check your warranty please... So, Spaghetti goreng yang suppose ada cili blend, instead, ada Cili Gunting he..he... (I gunting the dried chillies into my bawang tumis he..he.. nak wat mcm na kan...) Jadi lah... birthday meal nak buka puasa. Mak was expecting me to cook something special, but I didn't. Mungkin, I will buat cook during weekends kot... Oh ya, before masuk rumah tu, i realized that Nimbus was not there. Strange... I was the one who parked the car right under the tree on SUnday.
Tanya Nadia, she said, dia bawak siti pi COLES.
So, after makan and solat,malas nak salin baju,
packed up some biskut and pi rumah Nadia. As I was walking, she SMSed me,
"WHat time r u comming?"
I was thinking "weih, makcik ni... tak sabau ekau nak poie porpustakaan yo?" he...he...he...

So, I reached Nadia's place, Nadia suruh masuk dulu, Masuk je, Siti, Mak Tam SUzie and Izatti dah go "SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Oh MAK KAU, TOKOJUIT DEN !!!!"

Then they come and wish and hug me and give me my presents...

Then it's potong cake time he..he... The girls purposely bubuh 40 year old candle on my cake he..he.. I am so gonna remember 14/10/08 in 14/10/20. Kat mana lah agaknya masing masing masa tu kan? he..he.. I would probably be Shah Alam je la.... UiTM di hati kuu he..he...
look at that, they added another 12 years to my age he...he....

So, we ate the cake and chit chat, laughed sampai Suzie meleleh-leleh air mata. BUkan nangis tapi memang mcm tu. We were telling Siti, Maria and Pauline about Suzie's Syndrome, Iamnotthere Syndrome, and the new one Suzie created Husna's Syndrome.

We ate chips later and went upstairs sambung chit chating while tgk Nabil's photo , Nadia's little brother. Suzie balik awal because dia ada Test on wednesday, ( good luck to my Mak Tam...Kad birthday yang saaaangat Chomel !!! ada gambar kucing he..he...)

All in all, it was a great birthday !!! I had a blast this year in Adelaide.

The one with self defense....

SUPIRMAN has promised to take us for groceries shopping during the weekend. But, SUPIRMAN kena berada di sini untuk ini,

SUPIRMAN mentioned it before and would like us to join the talk. None of the girls wants to go. Masing- masing sibuk nak study and buat assignments. BUt then, since nak go groceries shopping, we tagged along. Suzie tak ikut because dia ada Test on Wednesday. So, we took her groceries list and get her the stuff she needs. Mula-mula , intend nak tinggalkan je SUPIRMAN kat community center tu and kami nak go to CM. Tapi, on second tought, Owwhhhkay laaa... boleh la, kasi sokongan Moral sikit , di samping meramaikan majlis plus, dapat jugak belajar pasal self defense.

So tetiba, SUPIRMAN sampai ke community center bersama 3 sidekicks-nya. SUPIRMAN pun mengamanahkan kepada kami, sidekicks-nya ni utuk mengambil gambar. Mula mula kami reject kamera dia. Tetiba, camera orang lain smuanya Battery Flat..he…he..he.. kelakar…( lengkali, jgn berlagak he..he...)

our dear Miss ‘malamdalamanginkencang’ wanted to take time off and suggested to go to Rundle Mall.

So, off to Rundle Mall we go.

Then we head back to Flinders.

Pada sebelah malamnya, Nadia dan Husna pun pi ke 24 hrs room unuk buat kerja. Buat kerja…buat kerja..buat kerja….Punya seronok buat kerja, Tak sedar, Tgk jam dah pukul 11.30 malam. So we head back to the housing as usuall, lalu bridge. Dari kejauhan…..nampak kat tengah bridge ada orang….bukan seorang, bukan dua orang, tapi a group of people. Ishh.... ni apa hal plak ni, semalam balik tak de pun orang.... ALAMAK !!!! DRUNK boys to be specific!!! Lupa pulak, malam ni Malam minggu… hati dah cuak. Nak tak nak, kena redah jugak.

Sambil baca ayat kursi, bukan baca dalam hati, baca kuat mcm bercakap. Husna tengok Nadia, Nadia tengok Husna…Ya Allah, selamatkan lah kami…

so, kami redah je tengah tengah bridge tu. They drunk boys mula la..cakap mengarut ngarut… ARRGGGHHHHH!!!! KOK DEK KAU LA APA EKAU NAK KATO !!!! EDEN PODULI APO !!!! EKAU SONTUH DEN, SIAP!!!! DEN BAGI PENAMPO !!!

(Ha... tetiba husna pandai cakap noghori plak nih walaupun ckp dalam hati !)

Sampai the other end of the bridge,

“Nadia…look at my hands….”

“Kenapa?” ( sambil berjalan laju ni….)

“Look, look where it is…”

( kan pagi tadi kan belajar cara nak pegang bag, bag pack and sling bag. Since I was carrying my back pack, I hold it as taught lah!! )

Nadia pun pecah gelak….

“Wahh.. berbaloi jugak la kita pi dengar taklimat Pak Tua tadi ek…”

SYUKUR, ALHAMDULILLAH smuanya selamat...

LENGKALI, kami tak balik lambat on a Saturday night lagiii.......PROMISE !!!!!
